Punjab vs Himachal Pradesh Semi-Final 1
Shubman Gill celebrated his T20I call-up for the New Zealand tour by smashing his maiden T20 century as Punjab defeated Karnataka by nine runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy quarterfinals.
Himachal Pradesh also played a close contest against Bengal as they won the game on the last delivery of the match. Batter Akash Vasisht played an excellent unbeaten knock of 76 runs in just 42 balls which included five fours and the same number of maximums to help his side to get over the winning line. Apart from Akash, Nikhil Gangta also scored a decent fifty with the bat and stitched a valuable partnership with Akash to stun the home team.

Mumbai vs Vidarbha Semi-Final 2
Mumbai had a narrow escape against Saurashtra in their quarter-final encounter. Chasing 167 to win, Mumbai found themselves in a spot of bother after the likes of Shreyas Iyer (40 runs), Ajinkya Rahane (21 runs), and Siraj Patil (31 runs) got out at the wrong time and left their team in a lurch. However, all-rounder Shivam Dube held his nerves as he stroked an unbeaten 25 runs in just 13 balls and won the game for his team.
Just like Mumbai, their opponents Vidarbha stole victory from the jaws of defeat after they secured victory against Delhi by just one run. After finishing on just 157 runs, Vidarbha bowlers took control of the game and took wickets at regular intervals to derail Delhi’s innings. Pacer Yash Thakur was simply excellent with the ball as he took four wickets for his side and bowled a match-winning last over to seal the game for his team.
