The roster for the upcoming VCT Stage 2 Masters will have twelve teams competing for the trophy. The top teams from the four major regions, NA, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, will directly go through to the playoffs.

The rest of the eight teams will be vying with each other in the group stages to earn a place along with the top seed qualifiers.

The twelve teams that will be in Copenhagen for the VCT Stage 2 Masters are listed below:

  • FunPlus Phoenix (Runners-up, EMEA Challengers)
  • Guild Esports (Second runners-up, EMEA Challengers)
  • XSET (Champions, NA Challengers)
  • OpTic Gaming (Runners-up, NA Challengers)
  • Paper Rex (Champions, APAC Challengers)
  • XERXIA (Runners-up, APAC Challengers)
  • LOUD (Champions, BR Challengers)
  • Leviatán (Champions, LATAM Challengers)
  • KRÜ Esports (Champions, SA Last Chance Qualifier)
  • DRX (Champions, KR Challengers)
  • NORTHEPTION (Champions, Japan Challengers)

VCT Stage 2 Masters 2022: Group Stage layout

The eight teams have been drawn up in two groups. They have been segregated as per the regional competition and also their final seeding during the regional events.

After the draw, the groups look like this:

Group A

  • OpTic Gaming (NA)
  • Guild Esports (EMEA)
  • LOUD (BR)
  • KRÜ Esports (LATAM)

Group B

  • FunPlus Phoenix (EMEA)
  • DRX (KR)

Riot Games has also revealed the matches for the respective groups.

Groups A

Group B

The top two teams from each group will qualify and join the rest of the teams for the playoffs.

The probable schedule for the upcoming VCT Stage 2 Masters has been revealed by Riot Games. The event will kick off on July 10 and will run until July 24, 2022. The complete schedule is given below:

  • Wednesday, July 13 – 5.00 pm CEST (Group Play)
  • Thursday, July 14 – 5.00 pm CEST (Bracket Stage)
  • Friday, July 15 – 5.00 pm CEST (Bracket Stage)
  • Saturday, July 16 – 5.00 pm CEST (Bracket Stage)
  • Sunday, July 17 – 5.00 pm CEST (Bracket Stage)
  • Monday, July 18 – 5.00 pm CEST (Bracket Stage)
  • Friday, July 22 – 5.00 pm CEST  (Upper Bracket Final/ Lower Bracket Semifinal)
