IND vs SA LIVE Streaming: India vs SouthAfrica 3rd ODI LIVE: After bouncing back in style in Ranchi, India’s golden opportunity to seal an ODI series against South Africa for the first time since 2018 may take a hit. Rain is likely to play spoilsport in Delhi. As per Indian MET department, there is 51% chance of rain. Hence, it is unlikely that the match will start on time. But it will be a golden chance for T20 World Cup-bound players to get valuable practice. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill both will be looking to come good. The match will start at 1:30 PM and will be live telecast on Star Sports Network. Follow IND vs SA 3rd ODI LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

  • India levelled the series 1-1 with a 7-wicket win in Ranchi.
  • India last won an ODI series against SA back in 2018.
  • India were blanked 0-3 when they toured South Africa last December.
  • But rain is expected to spoil the party in Delhi.
  • The match will start at 1:30 PM while the toss takes place at 1 PM.

Focus on Dhawan-Gill: The second-string Indian team would look for some stability from its openers. The Indian think tank would be a little concerned about the opening pair of captain Shikhar Dhawan and young Shubman Gill.

Both batters struggled in the series so far. One of India’s most consistent ODI batters in the last two years, Dhawan has managed only 17 runs in the series. The veteran batter will hope to give a better start with his eyes set on the ODI World Cup next year.

Gill, on the other hand, has also been profligate in availing his opportunities at the top. After being cheaply dismissed in the opener, he got a good start in the second ODI. But couldn’t convert it into a big score.

IND vs SA LIVE: What to expect from 3rd ODI?

  • While India’s openers have struggled in two different conditions, the middle order has been superb.
  • Vice-captain Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson have been solid.
  • While Iyer and Samson have been consistent, Kishan looked in imperious touch in 2nd ODI.
  • All three will be eager to continue with their good form as the selectors continue to audition players for the ODI World Cup.
  • Shreyas Iyer, who has a 50 and a hundred in the series so far, would be aiming to sign off in style.
  • He is amongst the reserves for T20 World Cup. But considering the injuries India have had, he would want to be ready.
  • In the bowling department, Mohammad Siraj has another chance to impress as he continues to be in plans for T20 World Cup.
  • He has been touted as a possible replacement for injured Jasprit Bumrah in the T20 World Cup squad.
  • With two excellent shows, he has made a strong case for himself.
  • Shahbaz Ahmed had a good debut and could continue.
  • But for Ravi Bishnoi, it will be one last chance before T20 WC as well.

It will be a tough test against a full-strength South African side. They would be gunning for as many points as possible for ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

The Proteas, who are ranked 11th in ODI Super League Table. They are in danger of missing out on direct entry into next year’s 50-over World Cup. Temba Bavuma, who has been woefully out of form since his return from injury, was rested in the second ODI. But he is likely to return after missing out with sickness.
