PKL 2022 LIVE: Tamil Thalaivas vs U Mumba – Tamil Thalaivas are looking to seal their first victory of the tournament as they are set to face U Mumba in the first match of a ‘Triple Panga’ night at the Pro Kabaddi League on Friday, 14th October at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru. Tamil Thalaivas who are winless after two matches in the season will have an uphill task against an in-form U Mumba. A depleted Tamil Thalaivas line-up in the absence of star raider Pawan Sehrawat suffered a 22-27 defeat at the hands of Haryana Steelers in the last game. The Thalaivas definitely need a much-needed revival to get their campaign on track.
Against Haryana, the Thalaivas raiding department completely faltered as Narender who picked up three raid points was the highest scoring raider for the team. In the absence of Sehrawat, they are struggling without a good secondary raider. Defenders Himanshu and all-rounder Viswanath were used as raiders in the game against Steelers and they managed to pick up just two points each. The Thalaivas need to find some form in the raiding department against U Mumba. Meanwhile, the defence is led by Sagar Rathee who is the stand-in skipper of the team and he managed to pick up a High 5 in the last game. He also has some good support in Sahil Gulia, Mohit and Abhshek.

U Mumba made a good comeback after losing their first match by registered their first win of the league Season 9 on Monday. The team defeated a strong UP Yoddhas line-up. They put on a great defensive show in the match as skipper Surinder Singh, defender Rinku, Kiran Magar and Harendra Kumar stepped up on the occassion as they fought well against UP Yoddha raiders like Paredeep Narwal and Surinder Gill to defeat them 30-23. In the raiding department too Jai Bhagwan and Guman Singh stepped up as they scored scored 6 and 5 points respectively in the match. The U Mumba defence unit will once again be hoping to repeat the same performance vs Tamil Thalaivas that looks weak in the raiding department.
