Paris Masters Quarterfinal LIVE: Novak Djokovic is looking to enter the semifinal of the Paris Masters 2022. The record 38-time ATP Masters 1000 champion faces 20-year old Lorenzo Musetti, who stunned Casper Ruud in the second round in the quarterfinal on Friday. - Novak Djokovic has so far had a good run in the Paris Masters as he is yet to drop a set in the tournament.
- He defeated Maxime Cressy 7-6, 6-4 in the first round and he was at his best against former champion Karen Khachanov as he defeated the Russian 6-4, 6-1 in the third round.
- Djokovic is looking to improve his rankings before the end of the year as he had a tumultuous season so far. He was unable to participate in the Australian Open and US Open this year due to his non-vaccination status.
- He won the Wimbledon title this year, but since the ranking points were not awarded in the tournament it didn’t help him anyway in securing his rankings at the World No.1.
- He won his maiden title this year at the Italian Open by defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final. He continued that form into the French Open but bowed out from the quarterfinals after losing to Rafael Nadal.
- Currently ranked as the World No.7, he is looking to improve his rankings before the end of the year. Before the Paris Masters he won the Tel Aviv Open title and Astana Open title.

- Lorenzo Musetti has been in great form in the last few months and he entered the quarterfinal after defeating third seed Casper Ruud with a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory.
- Earlier in the tournament he also defeated 15th seed Marin Cilic 6-4, 6-4 in first round and also defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili in straight sets in the second round.
- The 20-year old has had a good year as he won his maiden ATP Title in July this year at the Hamburg Open where he defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
- He also won the Napoli Cup by defeating compatriot Matteo Berrettini in straight games in the final.
- His next best performances this year is reaching the semifinal at Sofia Open and Firenze Open this year.
Djokovic vs Musetti Head-to-Head: Both the players have met twice in the past with Djokovic winning both the matches. They last met this year at the Dubai Teniis Championships and Djokovic won the game 6-3, 6-3. The Srrbian yet again enters the contest as the favourite. Musetti is in great form at the moment as he clinched his maiden victory against a Top 5 player in the last game in which he defeated Casper Ruud. However against the experience of Djokovic, the 20-year old needs to be at his best form to stand any chance of winning the contest.
