With the BCCI already having named him as a captain then, it was a clear indication that Rohit was on his path to recovery as well.

In fact, he was part of the Test side when they arrived in England, but with the player tested positive ahead of the fifth Test, he was ruled out.

The T20 series starts from July 7. It means that the player has much more time to get back to full fitness and lead Team India in the series.
