As per the La Liga TV rights deal, every 20 clubs receive an equal share of the money. Half of the TV rights are distributed among all the participating clubs in equal proportion. The other half of the money is further divided into two parts. The first part is termed social implantation while the other part is based on the standings of the clubs as per the points table.

The Social implantation is done by each club. It accounts for the season ticket sales along with the average box office sales of the club across the previous 5 seasons. Moreover, the participation of the club based on different competitions is also used to generate resources that can be used in broadcasting.

The second part of the money is devised according to the standings. A total of 25% of the revenue is generated as per the Royal Decree-Law. The champion of La Liga gets 17% of the revenue while the bottom-placed team gets the lowest, 0.25% of the revenue.
