He is followed by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in second place with 170 points as he showcased a scintillating drive to win the Austrian GP. Meanwhile, Red Bull still leads the constructors’ championship by 56 points while going into the twelfth round.
After the last 5 race weekends where everything went wrong, it feels so good to be back on top.
Feel sorry for Carlos as it should have been a 1-2.

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez drops down a position in the drivers’ standings and goes third after registering another DNF against his name at the Red Bull Ring. He will be desperate to get a good result under his belt as he has registered two DNFs in the last three races.
Meanwhile, Ferrari had a promising end the last time around in Austria as Leclerc took the victory at the home of Red Bull. But, the misery continues for Carlos Sainz as he registered his fourth DNF of the season. He was looking comfortable for a second-place finish but an engine failure ruined his race.

Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz is placed fourth overall in the drivers’ standings with 133 points to his name. Furthermore, Ferrari are placed second in the constructors’ championship with 303 points.
Whereas, things looked pretty well for the Silver Arrows in the Austrian GP as Lewis Hamilton claimed his fourth podium finish of the season and back-to-back podium finishes as he claimed the third spot at the Red Bull Ring.
Moreover, George Russell claimed the fourth spot and continued his great run of form of finishing in the top five this season. Only once he has not finished in the top five and it was his home race where he was involved in a multi-car accident on the first lap of the race.
Mercedes have shown immense improvement and have also countered Porpoising, which troubled them in the first half of the F1 2022 season. They will be donning a new nose design for the French GP as many pundits and former F1 drivers think this is the best chance for Silver Arrows to clinch a victory this year. Meanwhile, Mercedes is third overall in the constructor’s championship with 237 points, 66 shy of Ferrari.
