F1 British GP FP3 LIVE: FP3 session of the British Grand Prix will start shortly: Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz ended his Friday on a high note as he took home the second Free Practice session at the iconic Silverstone circuit. Meanwhile, Mercedes and McLaren showed great signs of improvement as Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris finished second and third overall. Carlos Sainz, who finished third in the FP1 showed great pace in the FP2 session after the track dried up from the rain it saw in the first session. He was clocking great lap times and overall kept beating his lap time to stay at the top. Meanwhile, it was both the home drivers Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris who claimed the second and third positions overall. Both the teams will be satisfied with the data they managed to secure after the FP2 session.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished fourth overall after missing out on clocking his lap time in the FP1 session. He was a little annoyed with the wind but overall showed great composure in the second practice session. He was followed by the Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc in the fifth spot as the Spaniard Fernando Alonso took home the sixth position.

The Mexican Sergio Perez finished seventh overall as he had to wait for some time in the garage with the work going on his RB18 challenger. Mercedes’ George Russell claimed the eighth spot and was followed by the birthday boy Daniel Ricciardo in the ninth position.

Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll had a great day as he claimed the tenth spot after spinning his AMR22 onto the gravel in the dying parts of the FP1 session. Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas claimed the eleventh spot as he dropped positions dramatically but will be happy with his performance overall.

The veteran driver Sebastian Vettel took home the twelfth spot and was followed by Esteban Ocon in the thirteenth position. Alex Albon showed great promise today on the track after claiming the fourteenth spot.
The Chinese driver Guanyu Zhou had a good day today at the Silverstone circuit and showed great promise as he finished fifteenth overall. AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda couldn’t do much in the FP2 session as he claimed the sixteenth spot.
Kevin Magnussen after having a great FP1 session couldn’t do much in the FP2 as he finished seventeenth and was followed by Pierre Gasly down in the eighteenth spot. Mick Schumacher had to settle for nineteenth place and lastly, Nicholas Latifi finished twentieth overall.
