He is followed by Sergio Perez in second place with 129 points as he didn’t have a good time in Montreal. He was forced to retire his car after the RB18 challenger had a gearbox failure. On top of it, Red Bull still leads the constructors’ championship by 76 points while going into the tenth round.

Ferrari had a promising end the last time around in Montreal as both their drivers finished in the top five. Firstly, Charles Leclerc took a grid penalty that saw him start the race from P19 but he recovered well as he claimed the fifth spot overall.

Secondly, Carlos Sainz had a good outing as he finished second in the Canadian GP as he was desperate for a good result. He did give Verstappen a hard time in the last 15 laps in Montreal but the Ferrari was a little bit slower than Red Bull on the straights.
Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc sits pretty in the third spot with 126 points and Carlos Sainz is placed fifth with 102 points in the drivers’ standings. Furthermore, Ferrari are placed second in the constructors’ championship with 228 points.

However, things did look pretty well for the Silver Arrows in the Canadian GP as they claimed a 3-4 place finish overall. It was Lewis Hamilton’s second podium finish this season as the first came in the season opener in Bahrain. He did find a lot of race pace in Montreal with the help of his W13 challenger.

Meanwhile, George Russell once again finished in the top five this season making it nine on the trot for the young Briton. He claimed the fourth spot and majorly the Porpoising was very less on the Mercedes’ car. It is the home race for both their drivers and the duo of Russell and Hamilton will look to finish on a high.
