World Athletics Championships 2022 LIVE: WCH Oregon 2022: Long jumper Miltiadis Tentoglou is one of the top favourites to win the gold medal. The men’s long jump will also witness three Indians, including M Sreeshankar, Jeswin Aldrin and Muhammed Anas in the fray. Follow World World Athletics Championships 2022 Live updates with InsideSport.IN
Among the trio, Sreeshankar has been one of the best performers in the world this season. His jump of 8.36 in April has been the second-best jump in the year, which puts him in the serious bracket of gold medal contenders. Aldrin has not been too far with his jump of 8.26, which is the seventh best jump while Anas’ best has been 8.15.

Irrespective of how Indians fare in the competition, three Indians in the competition is a huge thing in itself at such a premier event.

Big eyes will be on of the strong favourites, Miltiadis Tentoglou, who has also jumped an impressive 8.36 like Sreeshankar. When it comes to best jumps in the year, Simon Ehammer has been incredible, with a jump of 8.45, which is also his personal best.

Sweden’s Thobia Montler has a 8.27 against his name, and he is another strong contender for a podium finish. It is quite evident that there is strong competition amongst the 32 in the list.
Among the 32 competitors in the fray, only 20 of them have managed to cross the 8m mark, which is quite strange. However, some of the jumpers have it in them to deliver at big ticket events, and they could just leap the longest in their career to win the gold.
