India Cricket Schedule: Rohit Sharma and co have a jam-packed cricket calendar for the next four years. Following the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year, India will be playing 44 Test matches, 57 ODIs and 70 T20s while they transverse across five continents. It is the India vs Australia Test series, which grabs immediate attention. The Border Gavaskar series, which is part of the World Test Championship will be decided across five Test matches in each cycle, which is massive.
At a time when franchise and T20 cricket dominate the sport, five Test match series adds a breath of fresh air to Test cricket. India will travel to Australia in the summer of 2024-25 while it will be reversed early 2027 with India welcoming Australia.
With India being a superpower at home, it is their foreign tours, which becomes a topic of focus. Come 2023, their first away series is scheduled for July in West Indies, here they play two Tests, three t20s and three ODIs. It is at the end of the year, where they face a major Test in South Africa with two Tests and 3 T20s and 3 ODIs.

2024 is going to be a tough year. They will play five Test matches against England at home and will also head to Sri Lanka for limited overs series. The biggest test will lie in Australia in a five-match Test series while in the summer of 2025, England will host India for a five-match series.
India end their 2025-27 cycle with some big series on a stretch without much gap. They will host Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and the Australian team while they also travel to New Zealand in November 2026.
BIG ICC events: The next four years are set to witness five major ICC events, and India will be eyeing all the trophies. More importantly, India will be hosting two of those, next year’s 50-over World Cup and the T20 World Cup in 2026. The latter will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Champions Trophy is set to make a comeback as well. The competition will be hosted by Pakistan in 2025. Also, the 2024 T20 World Cup will be hosted jointly by USA and West Indies. The 2027 50 over World Cup will witness three nations as hosts, including South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
