U.P. Yoddhas started their campaign this year by defeating Jaipur Pink Panthers in their first game. However things went wrong for them in the next two matches as they lost against U Mumba and Dabang Delhi. Especially their contest against defending champions Delhi was a very close one as they scripted a terrific comeback in the second-half to clinch narrowest of victories as the scores read 44-42.
Like the last season one of the biggest problem for UP Yoddha is the form of Pardeep Narwal. The raider is not at his best and managed to score just 19 raid points in three matches. Surender Gill is continuing to lead the raiding department for the team as he has picked up 33 points for the Yoddhas so far. Both the raiders need to be at their absolute best against the Bulls. On the defensive front, they possess several solid options like Sumit, Nitesh Kumar and Shubham Kumar. However, one of their best defenders this season has been Ashu Singh, who has scored ten tackle points, and he’ll be someone to watch out for.
Bengaluru Bulls started off the campaign brilliantly by winning their first two matches. However in their last game against Bengal Warriors, they lost 33-42 and will be eager to bounce back. Bengaluru Bulls raiders are doing a good job as Bharat massed 25 raid points so far. Vikas Kandola, who is playing for Bengaluru Bulls for the first time in his career has also done well with 23 raid points to his name. Their defence, meanwhile is led by the experienced Saurabh Nandal. Nandal has so far clinched 10 Tackle points in three matches. Left corner defender Aman follows suite with 8 tackle points to his name. The defenders need to counter the in-form Surender Gill and challenge from Pawan Sehrawat to clinch their third victory of the season.
