Amanda Williams

The 1A news show from WAMU-FM 88.5 and NPR has tapped Amanda Williams as special projects editor to lead the Remaking America project. She moves to that role from a producer post.

She previously produced on-air broadcasts, field reports, and audience engagement events in collaboration with the six Across America partner stations, and digital-first reports and other collaborative content.

Formerly, she worked in Southern Virginia, where she was a local reporter covering breaking news and education.

Williams has a B.A. from the College of William & Mary and a master’s degree from American University.
